Structure and properties of matter are examined with emphasis on the strength of materials, fluid mechanics and gas laws. An introduction is given to thermal physics with temperature and effects of heat, change of state, heat transfer and the laws of thermodynamics. The fundamentals of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning are introduced.
