ELC240 Opto-Electronics

This course is designed to give you a basic foundation to the use of optoelectronic devices and their numerous applications. You will develop an understanding of how these devices can be used to replace mechanical and electrical switches in various kinds of equipment. You will understand how communications can take place by means of light, and how fiber optic cable can replace metallic cables. The green component includes a solar panel project.

Prerequisites or taken concurrently: ELC212 and ELC219
