CGD115 Introduction to Digital Imaging

This course concentrates on the use of the computer as a tool for pixel-based image creation and manipulation. The course focuses on the uses of Photoshop, scanners and printers. Emphasis will also be placed on understanding resolution, Photoshop as a design tool, understanding image acquisition and manipulation. You will have opportunities to create, edit and manipulate pixel-based images. You will also be introduced to ethical, legal and copyright issues surrounding manipulation and acquisition of images.
